  • RF optimization and system performance engineering for a LTE/UMTS/GSM networks.
  • Strong understanding of mobile Telecommunication networks.
  • Acquire network data and information.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding service.
  • Interface and collaborate with other groups.
  • Perform Network and/or Node Reviews/Audits,
  • Analyze performance of networks elements and see if changes (software or hardware changes).
  • Undertake networks performance improvement (KPIs) and optimization tasks.
  • Good expertise in Radio Network Design & Tuning Tools.
  • Good knowledge of Radio Network Dimensioning/Coverage Design.
  • Radio Functionality and cell parameters.
  • Network Traffic Modeling.
  • Network Performance (KPI) based on Field Measurement and on Systems Measurements.
  • Radio Network Traffic/Capacity.
  • Multi-Layer (carrier) management.
  • Service Quality for Radio Networks.
  • Network End-to-end Performance.
  • GSM/WCDMA/LTE Handover and Cell Reselection.
  • Good knowledge in BSS/RNC/MME/eNB parameters.
  • Analysis of drive test data and recommendations.
  • Good knowledge of Huawei LTE/UMTS products and service portfolio.
  • Good knowledge of Ericsson LTE/UMTS products and service portfolio is a plus.
  • LTE 3GPP standards, LTE RAN Air Interface and L3 signaling analysis, LTE RAN Functionality-Knowledge, LTE RAN Performance Management-knowledge of pmCounters, LTE RAN Protocols and Procedures, LTE/SAE System Overview.
  • Achieve & maintain the Radio Network Performance as per the contracted KPIs (Accessibility, Retainability, Mobility & Service Integrity).
  • Responsible for reducing congestion and drops, improving the IRAT Handover, Soft Handover, Location Update, Paging, CSSR, RRC Connection & RAB Establishment Success rate in his designated area for all Voice, Video Packet & High Speed, issuing capacity requests whenever needed.
  • Responsible for Inconsistencies Checks, Packet Throughput, Parameter changes & Physical changes.
  • Responsible for the drive test analysis and taking the necessary action to improve the performance of his area.
  • Participate in technical discussions with the customer.
  • Evaluate and adapt new methods and technologies regarding Radio Network Optimization, Features, Trials & Tuning.
  • Implement recommendations for network optimization improvement (script creating, editing and executing).
  • Optimization and Post processing tools.
  • Mapping Tools and Data Formats (Mapinfo, GoogleEarth).
  • Ability to use the following Huawei tools: M2000, U2000, CME, PRS, Nastar.
  • Ability to use the following Ericsson tools: Moshell, OSS.
  • Ability to use the following tools: Ocean, MAQA, BBOO, Across-PM, SEP.
  • Tools experience (TEMS investigation, Romes, XCal).

Job Qualification/ Experience

  • Electrical Engineering Degree or related area.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry.
  • Proven track record of minimum of 5 years optimization.
  • Minimum 3 years with vendors (Huawei, Ericsson).
  • Excellent knowledge of the field of 2G/3G/4G radio communication and optimization.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (team work, knowledge sharing, commitments).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and able to work under high pressure.
