Una vez más la Teleko Gaua reunió a los representantes de las principales  empresas y entidades comprometidas con nuestro sector. En esta ocasión asistieron al evento al rededor de 200 profesionales de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación.

Este evento reúne a los responsables del desarrollo del sector con el objetivo de reconocer la labor y el trabajo de una actividad que emplea a cerca de 15.000 profesionales en el País Vasco.

Durante el acto se hizo entrega de los premios que con esta ocasión la Asociación y el Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación del País Vasco pretenden mostrar un reconocimiento público de las buenas ideas y las buenas prácticas en el área profesional de las TICs.

~ SENIOR RESEARCHER IN AFFECTIVE COMPUTING ~

We are looking for a very creative and motivated experienced researcher on Affective Computing-related topics. The applicant must have strong background in pattern recognition, machine learning, speech processing and computer vision. 
Background on cognitive and social sciences applied to automatic affect analysis and social signal processing is desired, though not required.

The applicant will complement and extend Gradiant’s current knowledge on facial expression recognition, Human-Computer Interfaces, and multimodal analysis of human behavior.

The recruited expert will be in charge of leading Gradiant’s R&D activities related to “Affective Computing”, as well as proposing new ideas mainly related (but not limited) to this research field. The topics in which the recruited expert will work are among the following:

• Recognition of affective states from face and body gestures in spontaneous behavior.
• Classification between genuine and posed emotions.
• Speech analysis for emotion recognition.
• Affective state recognition from physiological measures.
• Methods for multi-modal recognition of affective states.
• Recognition of group emotions and interactions.
• Computational models of human emotion processes (e.g., decision-making models that take into account the influence of emotions)
• Affective computing related applications, including: e-learning (e.g. affective tutoring systems), e-health (e.g. (fake) pain detection), affect-based interactive media (e.g. videogames and cartoons), automatic analysis of human interactions (e.g. call centers), neuromarketing, etc.

• Involvement in international research projects (with emphasis in projects funded by the European Commission), including proposal preparation, and project/work package/task coordination.
• Leadership and management skills, including team management

 ~ SENIOR RESEARCHER IN DATA MINING AND KNOWLEDGE DISCOVERY ~

We are looking for an expert in data mining, data fusion and knowledge discovery, with a strong background in statistics and/or signal processing. This researcher will complement Gradiant’s current skills in multimodal signal processing and data analysis applied to:

-Human-Computer Interfaces (HCI),

-Distributed databases/business intelligence,

-Signal detection from distributed sensors for cognitive radio

-Online and social media

The recruited expert will contribute to the joint development of practical applications in at least one of the following fields:

-Prediction of market trends

-Prediction of energy demand in smart grids and complex facilities such as datacenters

-Marketing and sentiment analysis based on online and social media

-Root Cause Analysis to determine problem causes in complex systems, such as telecommunications services or networks

-Analysis and prediction of network traffic performance

-Privacy-preserving data mining
